5 Keys To Book Clients

in December

There?s a myth that I hear people start whimpering as soon as Thanksgiving is over?

?It?s December, so I can?t book clients during this month! No one?s interested during the holidays.?

Not so, my friend

There?s a myth that I hear people start whimpering as soon as Thanksgiving is over?

?It?s December, so I can?t book clients during this month! No one?s interested during the holidays.?

Not so, my friend!?

I?ve seen plenty of my clients book new clients in December. It?s all about how you position it!

So how do you do this?

1: Understand the ?New Year? Syndrome.

People always want a fresh start in the New Year. You can make this work for you, by talking to people about their plan for 2020.?

Nope, they don?t want to DO stuff in December. But it doesn?t mean that they won?t commit in December, to doing something in January.?

Give them a vision for their New Year, and then give them an incentive to say ?yes? now.

2: Package what you?ve already got, but with a fresh twist for the New Year.

It?s easy in December to think that you need to create lots of new stuff for next year. However, often it?s just a fresh approach that has what you?ve been offering feel exciting and new. How can you position your offerings – your services – as something special for the New Year.

Try using a phrase like this:

?I?m doing something really special in January, and I wanted to give you the heads-up because I have to limit the number of spaces??

3: Offer a bonus or discount for committing in December for a January start.

Some people will want to put off the decision or commitment until January. However, offering a discount can be a motivation for them to say yes.?

Better even than a discount is a bonus. What juicy ?extra? can you put in your offer, that makes it a no-brainer for people to step forward early?

4: Be ready with some easy prep work to keep people excited.

Most people won?t want to start the work in December, but having some easy ?prep? work can act as a stick strategy.

A stick strategy is a technique that has people ?stick? to a commitment that they made earlier. A stick strategy might be collecting documents, doing some visioning, clearing some space in life, or any other process that sets a client up for success in January.

5: Be the one who keeps going when others don?t.

It?s easy to say ?I?ll start again in January.? But when others are taking the rest of the year off, your efforts now can pay you off double. You?ll get the jump on people who are waiting till January to market!
